Anthony is a talented and knowledgeable fitness expert. He plans every session in advance and tailors every exercise to my personal fitness goals and situation. He is constantly working to help me improve, and I rely on his expertise in both exercise and nutrition. This was a key factor in my being selected to the Masters Level (Over 35) Maccabi USA Soccer Team that will compete in the 2015 Maccabi Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile. With Anthony’s guidance, I have achieved my personal best fitness level at age 45. I have a high degree of trust in Anthony, which is why he also trains my two kids, ages 10 and 13. He designs their training sessions to fit their age and ability levels, and he makes it fun for them.
Thank you first of all for your skill. You know what you’re doing and you do it incredibly well.
Thank you for your kindness. I can tell you really care about me and how you are helping me.
Thank you for your perseverance. You have encouraged me all the way along; always positive, always supportive.
Thank you for making it fun!
I was so skeptical when I first met you. I signed up because me dear friend said, “You must try Anthony!” Well, I love my friend so I gave you a try. But honestly, and you know this, I seriously wondered what you could do for me that I couldn’t do for myself. I know how to exercise; I know how to work. It just takes personal commitment, right?
I am 63 and I’ve never been as fit as I am today. And I love it; it feels wonderful! Getting stronger and feeling the rewards of pushing myself physically has become my new fun, exciting passion. And you do make it fun! No workout is ever the same and sometimes I have to take a break just because I’m laughing so hard. But then we get right back to it, and before I know it, the hour is up!
I would not be here except for you Anthony. You are the critical factor that has changed what I’ve been trying to change for years. Well, I thought I was changing things, but my energy kept dissipating and those 20 extra pounds just kept hanging around. I am heartened to see the positive changes I’m experiencing and excited to continue the journey with you.
Many, many thanks Anthony.
I started working out with Anthony on December 18, 2011. He really inspired me to start personal training. He also suggested that I apply for the Gold’s Gym Challenge, which I did! When I met Anthony in December, I weighed 203 lbs. I was 5’10” and 51 years old. I was wearing size 36 inch pants and was very unfit.
Well, I did a 180 degree turn around and started training 4 times a week with Anthony. I became dedicated to working out 2 times a day, 5 days a week. I also drastically changed my diet. I started really counting calories. I also eliminated all man made carbohydrates from my diet. That includes bread, crackers, cookies, pasta, sauces, etc. I also stopped eating starchy vegetables like potatoes and corn and high sugar foods like carrots, cranberry juice, orange juice, etc.
This has been life changing for me! I now wear a size 32 inch waist on pants and jeans. I have lost fat and gained lean muscle mass. I can wear fitted shirts and tight fitting t-shirts and I look good in them! I am getting compliments from everyone I know. I feel so good about how I look and how I feel as well. If I do not work out or break a sweat every day, I feel like something is wrong. It is now instilled in me and I can’t thank Anthony enough. He has changed my life and probably added years to it as well.
In the summer of 2012, I was under the care of a back specialist for spinal stenosis and nerve damage, but not brave enough to commit to surgery. I was having trouble walking, standing, sitting, sleeping, working and just living! I had to do something. My husband suggested I meet with Anthony for personal training as Ron had great success training with him. After getting approval from my doctor, I started training with Anthony in August, hoping to be in better physical shape for eventual surgery.
Anthony’s background in physical therapy and experience in personal training was the perfect combination to get me started. He gently took me through stretching and strengthening exercises and by November I was actually in better physical shape than I had been in over 5 years…and that was before surgery!
I resumed training with Anthony a month after surgery, again with doctor approval. Sometimes I just needed what I called some “AP TLC” which was more physical therapy than training. But by January 2013, Anthony and I sat down to discuss real personal training goals. I felt ready to move forward! My initial goal was to lose 10 pounds and train 3 days a week. As of August, I have lost 40 pounds, 4 pant sizes and can even run up a flight of stairs! And now I don’t want to miss a day of training, working out on my own or walking my 3 dogs!
I believe the surgery along with Anthony’s TLC and his personal training philosophy of progressing me through every stage of recovery and then strengthening are the reasons I am now feeling and looking better than I was 10 years ago!
I’m almost 60 years old. I’ve signed up for Weight Watchers 20 times, gone once and quit. I’ve spent thousand of dollars at Jenny Craig and stopped after a month. I’ve had trainers, and after 2 sessions, quit. I’ve signed up for Boot Camps, that lasted 2 weeks. I’ve lost the same 10 pounds one hundred times. Then I met Anthony.
I figured I’ll go my normal 2 weeks, pretend to try and lose the same 50 pounds I’ve been trying to lose for 20 years, then I’ll quit. Well, I haven’t quit. It’s been about 6 months training with Anthony and I’m still going! I’m stronger by far and I feel great. My daily tasks are so much easier. I believe I will reach my goal FINALLY.
The difference? Anthony made me a believer. He convinced me that he cared about my health and my progress. He encourages me even when I say, “I hate you,” and even after I call him not so nice names! I still hate working out, but i show up, for the first time ever.
Anthony is a fantastic trainer and great motivator. He’s just a great guy. I’m lucky to have met him because he changed what used to be the queen of excuses to someone who shows up 4 times a week now.
P.S: I still hate it, but love when it’s done!
I have been working with Anthony Parisi since September 2012. It was a gift to be assigned to him as a trainer.
I am not an athlete; I am not someone who enjoys the gym workout. In fact, I had never been in a gym before I joined Gold’s Gym in September 2012. But Anthony has encouraged, cajoled, expected, and persisted in pushing me beyond what I ever thought I could accomplish.
There are days when workouts are hard, when my faith in my abilities is weak. Anthony has always found a way to make it work. He modifies the exercise, he plays games, he makes me laugh, but mostly he believes in me and encourages me when I am feeling dispirited.
I have entrusted Anthony with training and motivating my son, and he has become a friend to him as well. My son walks with confidence and strength now; Anthony has given him challenges to meet and he has found the strength to overcome them with Anthony’s help and guidance.
I trust in Anthony’s knowledge of how best to do his job. He understands how to nurture and cultivate the effort of an amateur athlete. He celebrates moments of ultimate effort and pushes me to achieve the unachievable. Anthony is taking me on a journey of body and mind transformation and discovery beyond my wildest imagination.
